VoxGuard is a call screening app for Android that answers unknown callers before your phone rings, asks them to repeat a short phrase out loud, and has them say who they are and why they're calling. You decide who gets through.
When someone who isn't in your contacts calls, VoxGuard picks up first. The caller hears that the call is protected and recorded, and is asked to repeat a short phrase that the app speaks to them. Callers who pass that step then say who they are and why they're calling.
That recording and its transcript land on your lock screen as a notification. Approve, and the call comes through with the caller's real number showing. Decline, and the caller goes to voicemail. Your saved contacts are never screened; they ring straight through, every time.
Every unknown caller takes the same live challenge; there's no spam-number database involved, so a brand-new number or a spoofed local number gets screened exactly like a known offender.
